1. Obtain Parent Authorization form signed by parents or guardian, for the child
to participate in the Email Mentoring Project;
|
|
2. Help students set up their email accounts, if needed, with Hotmail, Yahoo, or other FREE Internet
based email service;
|
|
3. Provide Project ID prior to student online registration;
|
|
4. Complete the Project Description form;
|
|
5. Assure that students communicate at least once a week with their mentors;
|
|
6. Be the key contact to the students in case any problems arise with communication
and provide intervention when necessary;
|
|
7. Provide an update to all project mentors once a month on status of project, issues,
checking in, etc.
|
|
8. Notify the mentors in advance of any school events that would hinder student’s
email communication with the mentor (assemblies, breaks, etc.)
|
|
9. Make sure students submit their pre-program and post program evaluations; and
|
|
10. Submit a year-end evaluation.
