Mentor Coordinator Opportunity:

O P P O R T U N I T Y: A limited number of grants are available to school staff and faculty to match community volunteer mentors with students.

Opportunities are available in the following locations:

California
Fremont
Hayward
San Lorenzo

MENTOR PROJECT COORDINATOR -- Award $3,200*

If you are interested in matching students with adults from the business community and monitoring the mentor/student relationship for a school year, complete and submit the application below or Fax to (510) 795-6498, and you will be contacted by a Be A Mentor staff member.

Coordinator Commitment:

  • Attend a 10 hour training course during the summer
  • Match 15 mentors with 15 students
  • Monitor matches during the school year
  • Provide evaluation data

SIB Commitment:

  • Refer mentors to coordinator for matching with students
  • Train coordinator on SIB’s mentor model
  • Provide technical assistance to coordinator
  • Award coordinator a $3,200* grant
