Be A Mentor, Inc. offers employers the flexibility to design a community service plan that maximizes the use of corporate resources and minimizes the negative impact on productivity.

Email Mentoring allows employers to influence the education of their future workforce by teaming trusted employees with youth in our schools as mentors. In this manner employees assist the students in completing a classroom project. You can click here to view some sample projects.

With this model productivity remains high because there is no need for the employees to physically leave the facility, get immersed in traffic patterns, and be away from the job for extended periods of time. Email mentoring can be performed from the employees desk or workstation in about one half hour per week.

Some employer options include:

• Participate in any school where the teacher has developed a project
• Work collaboratively with a classroom teacher, at a school of your choice, in the project development
• Financially support employees in your own company to be mentors with youth
• Financially support employees of another company where employees would like to serve but the company does not have the budget for the financial support
