Requirements
21 yrs of age
Min of 1 hour per week
Background investigation
Attend Mentor Training Class
Register on-line for face-to-face mentoring
Register on-line and attend a mentor training class
Complete background clearance
Interview with a school-site mentor coordinator
Meet student
Serve as role model and assist student achieve his/her goals
Visit by phone and in person
Some activities include
- Library visits
- Sporting events
- Shopping
- One-on-one talks
- Job shadow
- Academic help
