WHO ARE THE MENTORS?

 

·        Rotarians from participating District 5170 Clubs only

·        Rotarians who complete District 5170's Youth Protection Training and Live Scan Requirements.

·        Rotarians willing to give one hour a week coaching a youth – mostly by email with occasional in person visit
 

WHO ARE THE MENTEES?

 

·        Youth who attend school regularly

·        Youth who are considered at-risk of graduating from high school

·        Youth aspiring to fulfill their dreams

·        Youth who need extra encouragement and coaching from an adult role model

WHAT DOES IT COST?

 

  • $200 for each participating Rotarian - minimum of $1,000 per club (5 mentors)
 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

 

  • Club agrees to participate in the District 5170 Mentoring Project
  • Minimum of 5 club members agree to be matched with a youth
  • Each participating club member completes training and background clearance
  • Approved participants communicate with youth by email with occasional in person visit
