School-site coordinators are usually teachers or counselors, although other school staff may take the position.

Coordinator training includes:

Coordinators learn to serve many students by working with adult mentors willing to be matched with students.
Coordinators learn of the process mentors go through and the expectations that are set during the mentors’ training. Each mentor is required to attend a training class as part of their induction.
Coordinators also learn tips on how to interest students in participating in a mentor project.
And they learn how to use the website. Site coordinators must have access to a computer at their school or at home in order to participate.
