Teacher Selection Criteria for Mentor Coordinators

  1. Create a class.project and submit to the Be A Mentor Program staff for approval

  2. Post project on Be A Mentor website

  3. Assist students to register on line as project participants

  4. Communicate regularly by e-mail and telephone with Be A Mentor Coordinator

  5. Communicate periodically by email with participating mentors

  6. Encourage students to communicate at least once a week, if not more with their mentors

  7. Be the key contact to the students in case any problems arise with communication and provide intervention when necessary

  8. Provide an overview to students on this E-mail Mentor Project

  9. Provide feedback on the program
